I have what may be best described as an unhealthy fascination with tech. The tech section on my RSS feed (damn you Google Reader for going away!) is usually the only thing I read. Everything else gets ignored. The technology world is expansive and constantly evolving, and I love every bit of it. Computers. Mobile. Gaming.
It's hard to believe that it's only in the last seven years or so has the smartphone world exploded. There were smartphones before the iPhone came out, certainly, but with the iPhone, that landscape changed. Suddenly you didn't have to be a rich business man to want or need a smartphone. We've seen the rise of Android, the decline of BlackBerry, and many other ecosystems.
I've had a BlackBerry Curve. A few iterations of iPhone. WebOS had it's moment in the sun with me. And Android. I'm at this point a faithful Droid lover. My first device was an HTC Hero that was rocking Froyo. I eventually rooted it and got everything I could out of that little device. Now I'm on an HTC One (no, I haven't had only HTC devices, just mostly).
It was when I was attempting to tweet my review of the One when I realized that maybe a blog would be a better option for that sort of thing. Perhaps I could have a blog where I can write out reviews of some of my shiny new toys. Post thoughts on new apps that have come out or ponder on what is going on in the tech world.
I can't promise that I'm going to blog every day, or even every week. I'll try to though. Just keep in mind that I will always be enjoying my shiny new toys.
